Luke Slater goes Ballet

Under his moniker The 7th Plain Luke Slater just have contributed a track for "Shut Up And Dance! Updated". "Shut Up ..." is a co-production of the Berlin's Club Berghain and the Staatsballett Berlin. All involved people broke new ground for this project.
So members of the Staatsballet will perform five furious choreographies at Berghain, which are developed to electronic music especially composed for this occasion. For this music five of the most influential producers of electronic music have adjusted to the unfamiliar perception of their music: nsi., Sleeparchive, Âme, Luciano and of course Luke Slater aka The 7th Plain.
All of them contributed both exceptional and fascinating piece of electronic music: from abstract sounds by nsi. via icy minimalism by Sleeparchive to a beatless ambient track by The 7th Plain. Considering the variety of these tracks, they also work very well as album which will be released by the Berghain label Ostgut Ton on the 29th May. All tracks are exclusively produced for the show and the appropriate compilation. So both, the show and the cd, are the only way to have a listen to this very unusual sounds of the protagonists.
